Joe Scullin on his boat

John “Joe” Scullin, 74, of Haddon Heights, NJ, passed away peacefully on February 9, 2024, with his wife Barbara by his side. Joe was a “Good Man” who dedicated his entire life to helping others. He was an advocate and a social worker, always trying to help and have a positive impact on the lives of those who were special needs.

Joe had a deep love for the outdoors and enjoyed spending time on his boats on the Delaware River. Throughout his life, he enjoyed camping on Skyline Drive, fishing, grilling, and tending to his garden, especially his tomato plants. He took pride in his craftsmanship and built a significant portion of his home with his own hands.

Joe had a fondness for apple pie and iced tea. He loved to laugh. He will be greatly missed by his wife Barbara, his son Andrew (Savan), his daughter Megan, and his three beloved grandchildren – Samuel, Dylan, and Lily. He also leaves behind many relatives, coworkers, friends, as well as the many people whose lives were changed by his kind heart.

In accordance with Joe’s wishes, services will be private. If anyone would like to share happy memories of Joe or their condolences, cards can be mailed to The Scullin Family, PO Box 1744, Bellmawr, NJ 08099
